DePaul Chemistry Research at Argonne

DePaul University is in a unique location for research, with Argonne national lab nearby. Argonne has state-of-the-art resources that are available for local researchers (via an application process, similar to writing a grant). This summer, Dr. Griffin and Dr. Grice went with two DePaul students to Argonne National Lab’s Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) to do research using their advanced laser spectroscopy equipment. There will definitely be more trips in the coming months as the research progresses!

Don’t miss a lecture from chemistry’s newest professor this July…

Northwestern’s Simpson Querrey Institute (SQI) is hosting The “Rising Stars of SQI” lecture series on Tuesday, July 26.  The newest tenure-track addition to our department, Dr. Charles Rubert Perez will be speaking on Mimicking the Bioactivity of Growth Factors Using Supramolecular Structures.
