Just a reminder that the research lab open house is today from the 12-2. It starts in the 3rd floor atrium and we have research labs on the 3rd and 4th floor. Come check it out!
If you can’t make it, and are interested in research, you can see what faculty do for research by looking at their bios (linked here) on this page. Any faculty member listed as an “Assistant Professor”, “Associate Professor”, or “Professor” has a research program, and they all do very different things. We love talking about our research, so if you are curious, email a faculty member to set up a meeting to chat!
Research usually starts as volunteering, but after trying it out, if you want to continue, there are internal/external grants you can apply to to get paid, or a faculty member might have an existing grant to pay students. Also, you can do research as a class for your experiential learning LSP requirement, ask a faculty member how it works!
One more research-related note, the CSH Dean’s Undergraduate Summer fellowship program is open and accepting applications on Handshake, the due date is Feb 23rd!
