Looking Towards Spring
Hello Students, Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and Friends,
It’s week 6 of WQ2019 already(!!) and we are looking forward to spring, which will come up soon. In spring we will be running Instrumental Analysis (our 2nd offering of the new format), where students will get hands-on experience working with various instruments. Sophomore chemistry and junior biochemistry majors should take it if they have taken analytical (the pre-requisite for instrumental).
Biochemistry III and Physical Chemistry III lectures and labs are also offered every spring quarter.
Inorganic Chemistry Lecture and Lab (320/321) is only offered in spring quarter and is a required course for chemistry and biochemistry majors. Juniors should enroll in this course (unless they plan on taking it in their senior year), as should any seniors if they have not taken it yet.
Graduating seniors should also take capstone (CHE330).
In terms of electives (which vary quarter to quarter), SQ2019 has CHE318 – Biophysical Chemistry and CHE362 – Drugs and Toxicology.
